We want you to enjoy your new home automation gadgets. Sometimes plans change or something is not working the way you thought it would. Fear not, we are here to help!

30-day return policy

If you are not 100% satisfied with your order, we will be happy to authorize a return for any unused and unmodified items purchased within 30 days. Your refund will be processed within 5 working days when we receive your item 

Product return policy

If you have already installed your device and something goes wrong or you aren’t satisfied with your item, our fantastic team of dedicated technicians can help to troubleshoot and offer advice to determine if your parts are defective.

In the event that something is determined to be a manufacturer error or failure due to defective materials, we will repair, refund or exchange the item(s) if and when needed.

Damaged in Shipment

Please email support@somasmarthome.com right away. Include a description of the damages and pictures of the damaged items/packaging. This information is very helpful to us in assessing how we package our orders and helps prevent similar problems in the future. Replacements will be arranged with Customer Service as needed.

General Return Guidelines

  • All RMAs must be authorized with us prior to sending any returns back.
  • Returns must include any accessories, documentation, etc. included with the product. Your return may be denied if incomplete or damaged*.
  • Please do not remove, desolder, or otherwise modify or alter any items before contacting Tech Support. We are here to help!
  • Eligibility for return of modified items is determined on a case-by-case basis; we can not guarantee eligibility for used or modified items.
  • Returns may take up to 2 weeks to process, not including transit times.
  • We will reimburse return shipping charges if the damage is found to be related to a manufacture error.
  • Returns for orders older than 30 days are eligible for replacement or store credit only*.
  • Restocking fees - there are no restocking fees.
  • Goods are returned with a copy of your receipt/invoice.
  • Goods must be returned to our specified address within 14 days after we acknowledge your request.

Warranty

SOMA Smart Home warrants its motors, electrical and electronic accessories to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal and proper use for a period of 1 year starting from the date stamped on each. Warranty is applicable for Mechanical Components and Power Module (excludes batteries and cosmetic defects).


EXCLUDED FROM WARRANTY: -Gears and spools. -If usage, adaptation or installation are not in accordance with our installation and operating instructions. -If the product has been opened, dismantled or returned with clear evidence of abuse or other damage. -If our written specifications are not properly applied by the Buyer when selecting the equipment. -If our written instructions for installation and wiring of the electrical connections have not been followed. -If our equipment has been used to perform functions other than the functions it was designed to handle, namely motorizing window and door enclosures e.g. shades, rolling shutters, awnings and projection screens which subject the SOMA Smart Home equipment to conditions which exceed its rated capacity. Please consult SOMA Smart Home about warranty for any uses other than that above.

SOMA Smart Home’s only obligation shall be to repair or replace defective equipment which does not conform to the warranty. SOMA Smart Home shall not be liable for any injury, loss or damage, direct or consequential, arising out of, or the inability to use, the equipment. Before using, Buyer and/or the ultimate User shall determine the suitability of the product for its intended use, and User assumes all risks and liability in connection therewith.
